I am European AI Policy Lead at the KIRA Center, an independent think tank.
I work towards a world where control over frontier AI is democratically distributed, rather than concentrated in a single actor (whether that's a company, a government, or AI itself). I advise policymakers on AI governance, with a focus on how European countries can remain sovereign and competitive in the age of AI while protecting the public from harm.
Current research priorities:
compute
data policy
AI supply chains
middle power strategy
I was also a Core Writer of the 2025 and 2026 International AI Safety Report, backed by 30 countries and international organizations and the largest global collaboration on AI safety to date.
My academic background is in philosophy and economics, which I studied in Bayreuth, Oxford and Berlin. In 2022, I finished my PhD in philosophy at Humboldt University Berlin.
